Paid placement with INQUEST, a human rights charity founded in 1981 by bereaved families that provides expertise on state-related deaths and their investigation to bereaved people, lawyers, support agencies, the media and parliamentarians.
The Creative Campaigns Assistant works in the Policy and Communications team, gaining practical experience across campaign strategy, creative communications, family engagement, editing, audio and social media.
The placement centres on INQUEST's live National Oversight Mechanism campaign: designing a digital exhibition to animate evidence from the charity's casework and research, supporting monitoring and research, engaging with impacted families, creating clips from the charity's podcast, and producing social media content.
Looking for someone thoughtful, curious, organised and passionate about justice and change; no extensive professional experience needed.
Eligibility is restricted: applicants must currently reside in the London Borough of Islington, have the right to work in the UK, commit to the full 200-hour placement, and be available to work at INQUEST HQ in Finsbury Park.
Candidates with direct experience of state violence, neglect or harm are particularly welcomed.
