Bloomsbury Pulse.

A little weekly list of creative jobs in London — the ones I'd actually send to a friend. A small, weekly-curated index of creative early-careers roles for students, early professionals and graduates.

A few I'm excited about. Opportunities in season.

Browse by trade. Nine corners of the creative trade.

Pick what you're into. Take a look at current live listings.

01

Picked by hand. Curated, not crawled.

I read every listing before it goes up. If it doesn't look like somewhere I'd want a friend to spend their time, it doesn't make the list. Every role is read, checked, and edited by a human before it goes live. We turn down more listings than we publish — including from studios we admire.

02

Paid roles signposted. Pay is non-negotiable.

I'll make it clear when jobs are paid or not so you know exactly what you're applying for. We only list roles paying at least the Real Living Wage. Internships shorter than four weeks must be paid; we don't publish "expenses only" briefs, ever.

03

Small studios and big brands. Small studios first.

Most listings are independent studios under thirty people — the kind that don't really advertise. You'll actually meet the founder. The majority of our index is independent practices of fewer than thirty people — the kind that rarely advertise, and where you'll actually be in the room.

04

Constantly updating. One newsletter, one day a week.

New jobs, what closes soon. That's it — no app, no notifications, no algorithm. The Friday Memo lands at 6pm. New roles, two studio profiles, and a short essay. No push notifications. No "trending now". No algorithm.

— A note — Letter from the editor

"Your first creative job isn't a stepping stone — it's the room you spend a year in figuring out what good actually looks like." "A good first job is not a stepping stone — it's a room you spend a year in, learning what good looks like at close range."
