Interiors With Art (IWA) is a luxury design, build and lifestyle company specialising in high-end residential and turnkey projects across the UK and internationally, with a multidisciplinary team spanning architecture, interior design, project management, quantity surveying and construction.
The Interior Design Intern joins the London studio for a six-month paid placement, working alongside experienced designers, project managers and contractors on live projects and gaining exposure to every stage of the design process from concept to completion.
Interns are involved in meaningful project work from day one.
Responsibilities: supporting the design team across all project stages; assisting with design presentations, mood boards and client-facing materials; producing and updating technical drawings and design documentation; researching materials, finishes, furniture, suppliers and FF&E packages; assisting with project coordination and design administration; participating in site visits, supplier meetings and project reviews; and helping prepare visual presentations using both traditional and AI-powered design tools.
Essential requirements: a degree in Interior Design or currently studying towards one (2:1 or above preferred), strong design sensibility and creative flair, a passion for luxury residential interiors, knowledge of UK construction methods, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, alongside excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication.
Desirable: freehand sketching, experience with 3ds Max, V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion or similar, Revit knowledge, familiarity with AI design tools, and FF&E specification and sourcing.
