FTI Consulting is a global expert firm advising organisations facing crisis and transformation; its Strategic Communications practice handles PR and communications for corporates, law firms, banks and private equity firms.
The scheme starts on 6 September 2027 with three three-month rotations before a permanent team assignment.
Day to day: drafting press releases and content, researching and brainstorming communications strategies, pitching stories and interviews to journalists, preparing clients for media engagements, supporting client events, compiling coverage reports, analysing media and digital landscapes, and supporting new business proposals.
The posting states it is not a management consulting or marketing role.
Requirements: a 2:1 degree in any discipline, graduating in 2027 or graduated in 2026, a demonstrable interest in communications or PR (e.g. running a society, writing for a publication, interning at an agency), and excellent writing, grammar and numeracy, which are tested.
Formal training covers press releases, digital skills and media monitoring, with a performance coach, rotation buddies and a mentor.
Process: application form and CV (no cover letter), video interview, virtual interview w/c 23 November, in-person London assessment centre in early December, decisions by end of 2026.
