Paid programme for 16 to 24 year olds who live, work or study in Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.
Around 12 young people join the V&A East team and commissioned creative practitioners to help make V&A East Museum and V&A East Storehouse welcoming and relevant to young East Londoners.
Members take part in creative workshops and trips, help shape how visitors are welcomed, and co-create a public creative output on creative wellbeing and care in museum spaces, with themes including identity, memory, belonging, place, access and decolonisation. 16 evening sessions on alternate Thursdays, 6-8pm, from 14 January 2027, plus occasional weekend activities, trips and museum days.
No museum experience needed, but you must be committed to attending all sessions, interested in art, design, curation, museums or your local area, and have the right to work in the UK.
